Fans of the incomparable Susan Elizabeth Phillips, who came thorugh West Palm Bech on her book tour. We all met on her bulletin board but it felt like we’d been friends forever. We made a day of it, starting with a trip to the Jupiter Lighthouse, then an early dinner at Bradleys, then on to the signing.
I must gush about Natural Born Charmer. I read a lot of good books, a handful of really great books. But once or twice a year I get my hands on a book that is in a class by itself and just sticks with me. The characters are so real, the story is so engrossing, that I just can’t let it go and I end up rereading and rereading.
I haven’t been to any other book signing,s but I think I’ve been ruined for life now and won’t want to. I heard many authors just sign th ebooks, sometimes happily, sometimes grudgingly. SEP enjoys every minute. She gossips with us and has a trivia contest and gives out prizes and reads to us from the new book and answers questions. Then she signs books! We Seppies hung out until the end because we had extra things we wanted signed. She chatted with us and signed everything we put in front of her and let us take all the pictures we wanted. Not just a fabulous author, but funny, articulate, generous and fast on her feet.
